Legal Aid NSW provides services, which include:
- Free confidential face to face legal advise on most legal problems, including:
- Everyday problems: Fines, bills and debts; Centrelink problems; Rights at work; Problems with housing
- Family problems: What to do when relationship ends; Family violence; Where children live and who makes decisions about them, Problems with Family and Community Services (DoCs), Divorce and disputes about properties and Child support and maintenance
- Problems with police and going to court
- Legal representation for eligible clients, provided through case grants for ongoing representation
- Free legal information to help people resolve their legal problems
